Poker Mom

Hello and welcome to my new Today.com blog.  My name is Melissa, aka Poker Mom, and I am your blog hostess.  As the name implies, I am a mom who plays poker.  When I was a wee young thing my parents taught me how to play seven card stud and five card draw.  As I got older I started to pick up on Texas Hold ‘Em.  My first time playing at a live Texas Hold ‘Em table was back in the 1990s.  I almost exclusively play Hold ‘Em but I do want to branch out into more of the games played in H.O.R.S.E. 

I play both online and live poker games - both cash and tourneys.  I have plans to play in the Ladies World Series of Poker Tournament this summer as well (alongside *my* mom).  I plan to bring the latest in poker gossip and news as well as some personal stories and bits of strategy.  If you’re a poker fan and want to hear about poker from a mom’s perspective, make sure to subscribe to the Poker Mom RSS feed.
