2008 WSOP Pot-limit Hold’em Final Table

Published by pokermom at 10:32 am under World Series of Poker (WSOP) Edit This

According to the official 2008 WSOP update page, it was a long night for contestants in the first event of the 2008 season – the $10,000 buy-in Pot-limit Hold’em Final Table.  The final table will start at 3pm local time, an hour later than originally planned since play lasted late in to the night.

The nine poker players that will be featured at the $10,000 Pot-limit Hold’em Final Table are chip leader Andy Bloch ($2,115,000 in chips), Mike Sexton ($1,130,000), Nenad Medic ($1,200,000), Mike Sowers ($675,000), Amit Makhija ($525,000), Chris Bell ($455,000), Phil Laak ($425,000), Kathy Liebert ($285,000) and Patrik Antonius ($230,000).  Liebert has been on the shorter end of the stacks for many of the recent updates but is holding her own despite what her chip stack says.  Keep it up Kathy!

Eli Elezra, who was chip leader as of my last update, did not make the final table.  This final table will be filmed by the ESPN crews for broadcast later in the summer.  If you don’t want to wait to hear the results, remember to keep checking PokerMom for updates!
